            RULES won a Newbery honor and a Snyder Family award...The new and improved cover of  Rules will be adorned with two medals!

Tami Wight is another Maine children's author and friend. When this creative writer

couldn't attend a NESCBWI conference, she hosted a get-together of her own.

A group of us have been meeting at her Poland Spring Campground, spring and fall

 to write and critique.  

Valarie Giogas, a sweet friend and supportive children's writer

who lives outside of Boston, MA. We probably see each

other as often as I see my Maine friends. Her book

In My Backyard is to make its debut in June 2007.  We've

seen the beautiful cover  illustration...I'll shout it out when

we can all hold Val's book in hand! It's August 2007 as I update this
